One Year ago . . . the love story

So . . . Mark and I met almost a year ago . . . I think most everybody knows the story, but here's the condensed version.
Yep, we met on Craig's List, we know it's crazy, but we both woke up from dreams a few months earlier knowing for certain that the other was out there. We didn't have a long email get to know you, or friendship, or anything like that. Mark sent me one email, I wrote him back and said I'm sick of this computer stuff, call me. We talked on the phone twice, had lunch once (June 20th first date), said goodbye to the other people we had been dating, and have been together ever since.
Our kids all asked us how we were able to be so certain, we told them from our hearts; that once you know exactly what you're looking for, it's easy to tell when you've found it.
The kids on both sides had been a little bruised and battered by our previous broken marriages, they had felt the puzzling hurt of abandonment, and also the stress of one parent spread to thin while trying to fill both roles. They were doing pretty good (we've got some strong kids), but we knew this was the time to show them what real commitment was and how to go about it in the right way. So, on September 19th, 2008 we got married, and made us all a real family.

Mark's ring; it makes me feels so good that he is so pleased to wear it.
The funny part is that we knew all the different parties involved, (7 kids for heavens sakes!), would have distinct and opposing opinions about how, when and where we should do things sooo . . . we bravely maintained control of the situation . . .lol . . . and told no one!
We got married at the Court House, just the two of us; . . . my goodness, when you're older, and understand what the whole commitment thing is all about, is that nerve wracking!
But then . . . we had to tell everyone! . . . so . . . lol . . . continuing on our brave path of avoidance . . . we sent everyone a text message . . . well it sounded like a good idea at the time!
Boy did we have to hear about it for that!
